AndrewCuomoAGovernor Andrew Coumo will be nearby in Rochester today. He is expected to tour the Eastman Business park on the west side of Rochester and is expected to talk about his controversial budget proposal. Many locally have objected to several facets of the budget proposal.

Members for the group No more casinos showed up as expected to the Henrietta town board meeting. It was a packed house there. The group presented their petition which by the time it was delivered nearly 1800 signatures. the is trying to block any building of a casino there. the Seneca nation has be eyeing a couple of spots to possibly build a casino but have not purchased any property or submitted a proposal to the town yet.

3 months in jail for the Seneca County man who threatened a Judge in Waterloo. Roy McBroom the third plead guilty to felony charges and could have received up to 4 years in prison. He said he was the man who taped a handwritten note to the door at the Waterloo Municipal Building last November. he threatened to kill Judge Dean Mattoon, members of his immediate family and others. McBroom claimed he was drunk at the time.

The Orange upset by Boston College last night 62-59 in overtime. the Orange will try and get back on track Saturday with a very tough game as they take on Duke in Durham. It’s the gold medal game today as USA women’s hockey team plays Canada. that game today at noon. The Men’s hockey team will play against Canada tomorrow at noon in quarter final action. The Russian team lost to Finland yesterday 3-1 and are eliminated from medal contention. Vladimir Putin can not be a happy man. hey were supposed to contend for the gold.
